Destination Cancun Wedding Photography and Video | Daljit & Ranvit

Cancun is a favourite location for a destination wedding. The beautiful beaches and climate provide many great places to photograph. Each location has unique quality helping us find many different styles during our stay in Cancun. It is not so easy to shoot during the hot afternoon, a good photographer knows about the harsh light of the intense sun and it is not comfortable for the couple either. We stayed close to the hotel for the ceremony portrait photography as the Groom and bride dressed up their beautiful Indian culture clothing like a prince and princess. The photos turned out stunning!

I did request for the bride to have an early sunrise photo shoot at 6:30am, the hard work pay off as the sun rise under the water as the warm ray lit up the sky. It was worth the effort of getting up so early for the photo and video shoot. We make good use of two cameras Canon 5D Mark II and the Go Pro Hero II for Time lapse and we able to capture different angle of the bride’s prayer portrait.

Waynes World Studio captures wedding events in Vancouver, and destinations like Mexico, Caribbean Islands and Hong Kong. Recently I had the opportunity to travel to beautiful Cancun, Mexico for a wedding photography and video shoot. We were able to capture this beautiful colorful Indian wedding, trash the dress and the classic evening portrait in downtown Cancun. I have photographed the couple Daljit & Ranvit with style to match the Prince and princess in mind, photography style from Tradition, Contemporary, FineArt, Fashion and Documentary portrait.

I really enjoyed Cancun and feel safe while riding the buses and walking on the street, when I was in Puerto Vallarta I did not feel the same. I look forward to a personal visit to Mexico in February 2013 and for sure I will be packing my gear once again.

Trash the dress is one of my favorite part as I get chance to get wet and have fun but not carry away as you can see I was staying low in the video and while the strong wave just beating me from behind. The camera did get wet but again it is a good old fun being a kid again, I do anything to get a shoot! The below photo is one of my favorite for the FineArt portrait.

During the stay in Cancun we capture still images but also capture the video with our steadicam we brought to Mexico, the video capture trash the dress and all the fun part in between!

Equipment for the destination wedding, we brought in over $30,000 to ensure there is a backup for photography and video. Lucky we took time to prepare the proper paperwork for entering Mexico, as our equipment was carefully searched when we arrived at customs. I was very glad the paper work paid off! If you are planning a Mexican destination wedding it is important your photographer knows the proper equipment registration and insurance.
