Mexico Family Portrait with Film and Digital Camera

Packed my Canon 5D Mark III and my new (Old) 1951 Rolleiflex TLR film camera along a family trip to Riviera Maya or Mayan Riviera. It is fast to shoot with the digital but taking a film camera does takes a bit of time. The Rolleiflex TLR camera does not have metering, it is good allowing me to test my exposure skills! This old film camera is not the 35mm slr as a medium camera that has more resolution or details than most digital dslr. It always give me a smile when seeing the beauties of Slide or negative film back from the lab for the first time. For some of the new generation photographers probably have never used a film camera at all! They just don’t know how much they miss, it is part of history to own and use one especially a camera that is built in the 1951 and still working!

The photos have been divided into film and digital selection, the film I have scanned with auto tone and while the digital photos have post production to enhance the image. Look for my next blog as I will put together a gallery for 1951 Rolleiflex TLR film camera meanwhile enjoy the magic of film and yes digital too!

Canon 5D Mark III is a great digital camera as she is my work horse for all my digital photography, Photoshop allows me to be creative and allow my imagination flies. Big Head Fun Baby Portrait

Children Playground on Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe became my favourite place to capture family water fight! Adults are not allow onto the house this gives a lot of room for the kids running around and having fun! It is so much fun watching the kids having a great time, for sure I had a great time being a kid again! The beach is not as refine as Cancun’s coast but the waveless sea makes a playground for adult and kids.
