Red Bull Illume Vancouver Action Sports Photography

Red Bull Illume, the world’s premier action and adventure sports photography competition, came to Vancouver and I made it on the last day of the show Feb 18th, Sat at Jack Poole Plaza. The exhibition showcases the most exciting action and adventure sports photography from around the world, and the Top 50 images of the 2013 Red Bull Illume contest will be on display outdoors. Despite the cold night, there are many turned out. This is the third stop over after Hong Kong and Scottsdale, USA. The photos are mounted on the 6X6 feet light box as I do notice the photo moved a bit due to the wind. The photos are printed on a soft material unlike the film sheet we see on the billboard, I guess the cost factors.

Remember this is contest is by Red Bull therefore it does not mean they are the best photos out there, there are few photos that stands apart and few photos I wonder why they are up there? Not all the photos are filmed since some of them is not my cup of tea, let me know what you think? Share your comments below!
