Drivers Think They are Smart and Won't get Caught by Using Phone

With all the News and Medias telling drivers to stop using phone while driving or waiting in the stop lights, sadly distracted drivers still ignoring the rules. April 1st may be April Fool’s day but to the Police of Vancouver comes to no joke. Vancouver Wedding Photographer caught Distracted Drivers Video while coming to a red light stop, I have witness two drivers pulled over by the policeman. It is like a Cat and Mouse game when drivers thought they can out smart the police but think again! This policeman is very smart hiding behind the bus stand that only caught my eyes just a seconds passed by. As you can see if you are using the phone, there is no way you will see him until he approaches you. You will LOSE! Here is an article taken from Vancouver SunThe current penalty of $167 for distracted driving will increase to $543 for a first offence ($368 base fine, plus $175 in penalty point premium), $888 for a second offence within a year and $1,600 for a third offence. Drivers caught using cellphones will also see demerit points on their licence increase from three to four points‘ I think everyone of us even myself has been guilty using the phone at some point while driving and now is the time to put the phone away, if you need to view your phone pull over to the safe area. Gas station or an empty lot, side of the road. Again remind yourself distracted drivers kill and it is no excuse! But unfortunately I still see all ages of drivers from teen, adult and senior using phone while driving or stopping at the red light. I even seem an adult holding the phone beside his head with a young kid at the school ground, great way to teach the kid as example!
The video was captured with a GoPro; it is interesting to see so many bad drivers or people ignore the safety rules while on the road in Vancouver.
